PHOTO CONTEST

Eventbrite - Park N Roll Festival 2013

We are looking for pictures of whatever you consider "Roller Skating"... this can be any version of the sport, from Derby, to inline or quad speed skating, to hockey, street hockey, trail skating, art or dance skating, session skating, ANYTHING. Skates MUST be included in the picture. Remember, this is a PHOTO contest, not a Photoshop contest. Minor editing or color saturation will be allowed, but we are looking for creative photos and subject matter, not creative editing skills. ;-)

Register ahead of time using the link above. OR, You can enter the contest the morning of the Park 'n Roll by bringing a printed photo to the photo booth. To ensure that there is room for your photo in the tent, it helps to register ahead of time! REGISTRATION IS FREE!!!
  1. Take a photo that you believe shouts “ROLLER SKATING”. Be creative! There are so many different ways that people enjoy life on roller skates! Try lots of different viewpoints, and experiment with motion, still-life, and perspective. (Make sure skates can be seen in the photo.)
  2.  Get it printed no smaller than 5X7. Please tape it to a mat so that we can hang it without damaging it.
  3. Stick around to the end to see how many votes you got, or check out Facebook the next day to see who won!
  4. Prizes, ribbons, etc will be awarded at the end of the event (1:00pm), however you do not need to be present to win. (Your picture DOES need to be present.)
Please note that all photos will become property of Portage Skates upon submission. Any photos used by Portage Skates may be used to promote the festival with credit to the photographer. Please ensure that you have obtained consent from any subject in your photos, as we will contact you if there is any question from subjects in these photos.
