SKATE CHALLENGE: *FREE GIFTS GUARANTEED TO FIRST 50 SKATERS REGISTERED!! Tshirt orders are being submitted now, so please register early to ensure a shirt! Got a bucket list? Well this should be on it! This year's skate challenge will be a long race, circling the Munroe Falls Lake. You will skate over bridges and hills, and learn from other experienced skaters in the process. This is a gateway race for all those wanting to start competing in outdoor skate races/marathons. (We have added a 5K option for those who asked.) You will also get the chance to have some fun!!! For those who aren't trying to set land-speed records, come out and have a blast skating around the park with your favorite Derby skaters while listening to music from our DJ, or sign up with a friend and wear matching COSTUMES! (Would love to give a special gift to anyone showing up with a costume!) The important thing here is that you GET THERE. Half the battle is showing up at the starting line. To reward those who have the GUTS TO GET THERE, we will make sure that everyone who preregisters for the race (and shows up) receives a tshirt.

Noteworthy events:

Dominik Siler-Alba did not receive a time as he stopped just short of the finish gate due to medical issues and could not continue skating, but completed the equivalent of one full lap.

Damein Huff completed three laps, but was advised he was not done so completed 4 laps and skated one extra lap. Time listed above reflects 3-lap time.

Brandon Colbetzor skated half a lap before his skate equipment broke and needed repair. After assistance by the Park Ranger to replace the toestop on his skate, he was advised to return to the starting line instead of continuing forward, thus skating half a lap and the same half the opposite direction.

Charlye Anderson was registered for the Half-Marathon, but was not able to complete due to medical issues. She did however complete the 5K and would have taken 1st place in her division if so registered.

Jake Edwards was registered for the 5K (time reflects 3 laps), but once completed he chose to continue on and try to complete the Half marathon, and completed all 10 laps but did not place in the Half marathon.

Nate Gray skated an extra lap and turned in his tag late, resulting in a 3rd place spot. Upon review of the timing chips, Nate Gray receives 2nd place. The original 2nd place will not be rescinded.
